Halloween Books For Kids

Halloween has always been a big international event- particularly in America, where trick-or-treating is an activity taken very seriously by younger children, and dress-up parties are of high importance to those who are older. Over the last few years, Australian retail stores have jumped onto the bandwagon, cashing in on the ‘holiday’ and selling a wide range of costumes, junk food and decorations for the big event. As is usually the case, there have also been a few books released for the occasion, and some of those are listed below:

This book houses a thousand stickers of a spooky persuasion that would be perfect for those who want to decorate anything in pictures of cartoon ghosts, mummies, skeletons, vampires, monsters, wizards and witches. Spooky House



This lift-the-flap board book is perfect for young children who aren’t easily afraid of ghouls and ghosts, witches and monsters. Each page spread has a four-line rhyme which describes the scene on the pages, as each of the spooky characters prepare for their Halloween party. The illustrations are colourful, fun and cute (rather than scary), and each page features a few flaps to look behind- giving the kids plenty to discover as they work their way through the story.
