Vlogger’s (video bloggers) are fast becoming the latest trend in the book industry. These individuals- who have thousands of followers on their YouTube channels, and millions of video views- have made a name for themselves by posting up often humorous skits and ‘advice’. Many of them, besides being internet celebrities, dabble in the acting, music, fashion and lifestyle fields, and have gained popularity for the creative videos that they post online. Now they’re starting to branch out into the publishing industry, printing books that flow on from the themes they cover in their YouTube videos.
Have you even heard of any of these people? If you follow their channels, would you be interested in reading their books? Do you think this publishing platform crossover works? Do you think this is just a publishing industry fad? Or will we continue to see these types of books hit the shelves?

I think you would have to be a true fan in order to read a YouTuber's book! It would be hard to justify purchasing any of these titles. Having said that, YouTuber Trisha Paytas has such a colourful life and is fun to watch, so her books would be tempting for light holiday reading!
