Many books feature a particular bar as a setting where characters meet to discuss plot points or kick back and relax. Missing Mile in Poppy Z. Brite's books has the Sacred Yew, Kelley Armstrong's Otherworld has Miller's, and Harry Dresden likes to get his beer at Macanally's. The Harry Potter books have The Leaky Cauldron and The Three Broomsticks among others.

I wouldn't say that I'd actually like to drink there, but I'll always have a soft spot for the Vulgar Unicorn from the Thieves World books. So many cool stories start there!
Nice one.
Like Paul said I'm not sure I would want to drink there but The Mended Drum in the Discworld books is an interesting place. I think I'd actually like drinking/listening to music in the Sacred Yew though.
