Some people buy books they read, others borrow, download, etc.

What was the name of the book you purchased most recently (book or ebook) (must be a new book)? Did it cost a lot? Where did you buy it (online/bookstore/book fair)?

Who is Jane Goodall? It's a kids' nonfiction book for my daughter. I bought it online for $6.22. For myself it would be Rat Queens Sass and Sorcery Vol 1, a graphic novel, also bought online for $13. I'd love to get to an actual bookstore but I don't really get to browse with two small children.
My Story by Julia Gillard. Cost me $35. I bought it online.
The last book I bought was 'The Fairest One of All'. It is a behind the scenes making of Disney's Snow White. The RRP was £30, but it was an outlet store, so I got it for about £15.
I bought 'The Small Business Life Cycle' by Charlie Gilkey. It is the 'no-fluff guide to navigating the five stages of small business growth.'
This book is new, a second edition and I downloaded it in ebook format through Amazon Kindle.
It cost me $3.99.
Chestnut Street, a collection of short stories by Maeve Binchy. I bought it at a discount store and paid about $16.
Got Cold Comfort Farm for book club and Goddam this war! (Jacques Tardi) - both online....The book was cheap - $9.95, the comic was expensive $28.00...as is the way, unfortunately...
I love Cold Comfort Farm!
I struggled a bit with it, but I liked it in the end...didn't love it though. I know a lot of people that do tho...

'Cold Comfort Farm' has got to be one of the quirkiest, & funny books I ever read. The movie is even more so! First film Rufus Sewell was in. The cast is exceptional.....Dame Eileen Atkins & Sir Ian McKellen....oh! what joy to see those marvellous thespians', at any time. The rest of cast are really good, too!

'Maestro John Monash' by Tom Fischer.
Monash was a brilliant tactician. If PM billy hughes hadn't hated him so much, monash's brilliance would've ended WW1 twelve months' earlier, thus saving thousands' of lives.

Monash was 'done out of' so much by hughes, in Monash's return to civilian life, & even the rank of Field Marshal, which, thank goodness, there's now a move to get it granted posthumously.

I am waiting for it to arrive, and will be reading it with a group. And doing to experience together.
Hitch-22 - a Christopher Hitchens Memoir. I bought this book as a gift for my son.
'My Grandpa is Great'. A book for our nearly 7 year old grand-daughter. It was $1 at the Salvo shop, & my husband has cleaned it up, so it's looks like new now!

I've just come across this question again. We bought a pile of kids books, 2 Sunday's ago, at our local Baby & Kids Market, which comes around twice a year.
50 cents to $2. each.
