I started listenting to the audio book of "Pines" by Blake Crouch (the first book of the series the tv show Wayward Pines is based on) but there was a scene about torture and I just don't want to hear about that stuff so I have abandoned in favour of Poseidon's Gold by Lindsey Davis, the fifth of the Falco mysteries (a detective series set in Ancient Rome). So far I'm really enjoying it. Lindsey Davis is a very reliable author.

I'm also reading The Female Man by Joanna Russ, some 70's sci fi.

I'm not sure what's up next since the list of books I have promised to read has grown alarmingly long. Maybe Gloria Steinem's autobiography, or Losing Our Religion by Christel Manning (about secular parenting).
I'm still reading "Last Night in Twisted River" by John Irving...LOL It's a long book and I only get to read for a max of about 1/2 hour per day, if that. I'm really enjoying it and already trying to formulate a book review in my mind to share with everyone.
Sometimes it's kind of nice when it takes you a long time to finish a book because you get to really inhabit the world of it, if you know what I mean. At least that's what I tell myself when I'm annoyed that I don't get enough time to read. I would love to see your review when you're ready.
I've slowly been working my way through 'The Walking Dead' graphic novels. This is a new format for me and I'm actually enjoying reading them. It's also pretty cool seeing how each one corresponds to events on the show, which I'm also (belatedly) watching...
'The Oxley-Gatton Murders'........true 19th Century Qld crimes......
Fascinating, as killer never brought to justice due police incompetence.....nothing's changed really!
Now reading 'Unsolved Australia' by Justine Ford.
True-life crime, some cold cases, some recent, missing persons' & murders.

Makes for very interesting reading, if you're a CSI lover!
