What are you reading in February 2016?

As usual I have several books on the go at once. One is The Fear Babe, an expose of "food babe" Vani Hari and the dodgy tactics she uses to get hits to her site, Losing Our Religion by Christel Manning (a book about secular parenting), volume one of Lumberjanes (a comic) and The Lazy Runner, a book about running by Marie Bean. I have been dipping in and out of all of these.

'Somebody That I used to Know’ by Bunkie King, re the Aussie actor, Jack Thompson. I knew her family for a couple of years, in the mid ’60’s. I also met Jack once or twice. The book was a birthday present from my younger sister. I’m just over 1/2 through it. Easy reading.

I love to read and really only have time befor I go to bed to do it but this month im making time to finish the scifi/fantasy series by morgan rice "sorcerer's ring" there are 15 books in all and I'm up to book 5: a vow of glory. They are fast paced, intriguing books an easy read for a rainy (or sunny) day. I cant wait to get to book 15!

I'm currently reading the 'Gone' series by Michael Grant. It has a post-apocalyptic style storyline, where the entire town is survived by kids under the age of 15. Even though it's aimed at older teens, it's pretty brutal to read- lots of violence, cruelty, etc, but pretty good all the same. I'm halfway through but it's taking me a while because I have to stop every now and then to regroup. Cannibalism and an almost-lynching will do that to you!
