Entries are now being accepted for the 2014 Arts Queensland Poetry Awards. Poems need to be of 100 lines or less.

The Val Vallis Poetry Prize for an Unpublished Poem offers the winner $1,750 and a week at Varuna Writers House, plus publication in the Cordite Poetry Review. Entires close 10 July 2014. This is open to poets from across Australia.

The Thomas Shapcott Poetry Prize for an Unpublished Manuscript has a $3,000 prize and a University of Queensland Press publication deal. This prize is only open to emerging Queensland poets. Submissions close 3 July 2014.
