Kim Kardashian is known for a lot of things, but her pearls of wisdom would have to be on the bottom of that list.

Although I have never seen any of her reality television shows (making me hardly one to judge), she doesn’t come across as a particularly intelligent character. This of course, could be exactly what she wants us to believe, having somehow amassed a global empire focused on her looks and internet presence. The woman who is ‘famous for being famous’, has an infamous sex tape which kick-started her ‘career’ and is married to obnoxious music star Kanye West, has somehow made her millions by preying on those who want even a smidge of the ‘glamour and fame’ she possesses.

Just as she has a lot of fans, there are also plenty of haters in the Kardashian circle, which is why this little parody book-Pocket Kim Wisdom- is such a gem. It could be given to a die-hard fan of hers who would devour every piece of ‘advice’ and take it on board (‘Now I say, give it a good six months before you commit’). Or it could be given to others who are looking for a laugh (‘North doesn’t typically wear pink…She wears mauve or blush, not, like, typical baby pink.’). Some of the quotes in this book are painful to read, and the sad thing is, even read in context, they emphasise the less-than-intelligent image she portrays. Separated into sections including Fame and Success, Money, Family, Motherhood, Love, Style and Image, Her Assets and Herself, you are sure to find a quote that will either dumbfound or (I sincerely hope not) inspire.

Maybe it’s a branding tool, maybe it’s not, but this book full of ‘witty quotes and wise words from Kim Kardashian’ (none of which is endorsed by her or her posse) is good for providing a chuckle and nothing more.
