Gogo Mama

Gogo Mama is a book by Sally Sara, a journalist, who interviews 12 different women in different countries in Africa. It covers a lot of issues (genital mutilation) and experience (war, both victims and fighters). There are many things to learn from these amazing women.

What I found interesting, when we discussed it, was we each felt most strongly about a different story.

Have you read it, and which story spoke to you the most?

This is the first I've heard of it. Sounds like there will be some real heart wrenching/horrific stories in there - made all the more so by the fact that they are true.
No, but having read this I want to. It sounds like a difficult but worthy read.
