Have you ever loved a book that everyone else hated?

by Lydia C. Lee (follow)

A few years ago, I read the Confederacy of Dunces. I giggled throughout it, and simply adored it. I got such a shock when I turned up at book club to hear that everyone else didn't like it.

I gave it to a number of people for Christmas, and the fact that none of them mentioned it to me again leads me to believe it didn't appeal to them either.

I was looking at it the other day and it still made me laugh, just flicking through the pages randomly.

Have you a book that you love that doesn't seem to appeal to others?

Intersting question! I've been wracking my brain over this one but I can't think of a book that I liked that nobody else does. There are a few that were very popular that I didn't like, like The Da Vinci Code, but I'm not alone in that.
