There aren’t many new authors worthy of the title revolutionary, but Afropolitan writer (she was born in London to Nigerian and Ghanaian parents, raised in Massachusetts), Taiye Selasi is one. She’s one of the most exciting new writers to have on your radar for 2014.

Selasi was named a Granta Best Young Novelist in 2013 and her breathtaking debut novel, Ghana Must Go, has been critically acclaimed and touted as one of the best new novels of the year.

From the opening paragraph, Selasi weaves a maze of literary twists and turns as she documents the story of the Sais family, who are embroiled in a life of secrets and lies. The death of their father and an attempt to bring peace to the family takes them on an enthralling journey from America to Africa.
