As the year draws to a close I like to reflect on all the books I've read in the past twelve months. What was your favourite book of the year? (It doesn't have to have been published in 2016, just your favourite of the books you read this year). What was it you liked about it?

I think it would have to be Salvage by Alexandra Duncan, a young adult sci fi book I really loved everything about. Runners up would be Of Sorrow and Such by Angela Slatter a fantasy novela about a witch, for the beautiful evocative writing style, and Zoo City by Lauren Beukes, an urban fantasy novel set in South Africa for the interesting concept and visuals.
