Assortment of books

My husband and I have a small collection of books we read as children. We have read them to our children and grandchildren with a mixed reception. Do you still have books from your childhood? Have you read them to the children of today? Which ones have stood the test of time?

A lot of the time the books I loved the kids find boring or stupid (and sometimes they are, when you go back to them) Tintin is a stand out, off the top of my head, as one that seems to travel the generations...
I loved reading when I was young - Enid Blyton's 'Famous Five' followed by more mature books, such a 'To Kill A Mocking Bird'. Try as I might, I haven't been able to tear them away from Social Media and similar distractions to read great books.
Keep trying, Dom, and good luck!
