Do you sometimes read non fiction on subjects you normally wouldn't purely because you like the author?

I have read all of Jon Krakauers books - on subjects I wouldn't have normally sought out. I just get his next book regardless of what it's about.
Do you read non-fiction books in this manner? Or are you always driven my subject matter?

No, I doubt the author would influence me when it comes to non-fiction. Unless the subject matter interests me or I am reading as part of study, then I would not buy it purely because I like the author. Iike J.K. Rowling, but I didn't even buy her adult fiction novels because the subject was not of interest to me.
I have sometimes read a book just because I am already familiar with the author from some other context, like when an actor or other celebrity writes a book. Other than that, when it comes to non fiction for me it's more about the subject matter than the author.
