Best Star Trek book?

by Harry F (follow)
There have been many spin off TV series from Star Trek the original series, including Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager.

Feature films have been on the big screen as well, but first of all were the novels published by several different publishing houses from 1968 to the present.

In fact over 400 novels and short story collections have been produced over this time.

Have you read any Star Trek books and if so, which one is your favourite?

I've read loads of Trek fiction. I've read some of the movie novelisations, the adaptations of the original series stories by James Blish, and all the Voyager books. But I have to say that I find the quality of these books poor, quite often. I don't like the writing style at all. Just recently, I took my entire collection (barring the non-fiction books) to the charity shop.
